Football is the most popular sport in the world perhaps the second in the sport's lifetime after basketball in the Bethlen Gabor College.

Football (an English origin word, frequently mentioned futball in Hungarian) is a ball game, which is played on a track by two teams, each consisting of 11 players, playing against each other. The game's aim is to shoot the ball to the opponent's goal within the time allowed and so to obtain more and more goals. The simple rules and minimal equipment requirements will undoubtedly promote its spread and increase its popularity.

The college's Selected Boy's Football Team took part each year at the football championships held within the Sport's Olympics which was announced by the Ministry of Education. With its attested players the team represented Aiud each year at the youth indoor football tour in Hungary. We joined in the Transylvania's Cup, the national Hungarian high-school's football tournament.

In our opinion, all these activities will ensure that from now on in our work - parents', teachers', coaches' and everyone's work, who feels vocation - the central role will be obtained by the youngest family members (primary and secondary school children) and their teaching in order to learn the fair play, respect and team spirit aspects.
